Product privacy

Admix SpeakDeck privacy.

Effective date: August 28, 2026

SpeakDeck is a local Windows plugin. It does not create an account, display advertising, run analytics, or transmit selected text, microphone audio, transcripts, settings, or diagnostic logs to Admix.

Operator

Admix SpeakDeck is provided by Admix LLC operating as Admix Software.

Data the plugin processes

Selected text

A tap sends the standard Windows Ctrl+C shortcut and reads the resulting clipboard text into memory for speech playback. The selection therefore becomes the current Windows clipboard content. SpeakDeck does not save that text to its own files or logs.

Microphone audio

While the key is held in dictation mode, SpeakDeck captures audio from the current Windows default recording device. Audio is processed in memory by the bundled local speech-recognition model and discarded after transcription. It is not written to disk or transmitted.

Transcript text

The local transcript remains in memory only long enough to type it into the foreground application. Transcript content is not saved or logged.

Settings

Voice, speech-rate, and gesture-timing settings are stored locally by the Stream Deck application as part of the action configuration.

Diagnostics

Local rotating logs may contain timestamps, plugin state, selected voice name, audio-device name, character counts, durations, runtime details, and error messages. They do not contain selected text, content-derived hashes, microphone audio, or transcript text. Logs remain on the computer and are limited to the current log plus three archives.

Network access and third-party voices

The SpeakDeck executable does not make network requests during normal use. Its speech-recognition model and required runtimes are bundled with the plugin.

Text-to-speech playback is performed by the Windows SAPI voice selected by the user. Some third-party voices may independently use network services. Their behavior, terms, and privacy practices are controlled by their publishers, not by Admix SpeakDeck.

Windows, the Stream Deck application, installed voices, the Windows clipboard, and the foreground application may process information needed for their own operation under their own terms and privacy practices. If SpeakDeck is obtained through a distribution platform, that platform may separately process installation, account, or operational information under its own policy. This policy does not describe or control those independent practices.

Sharing and sale of data

Admix does not receive the data described above and therefore does not sell, rent, or share it. Local data may still be available to Windows, the Stream Deck application, the foreground application receiving dictated text, the Windows clipboard, or an installed SAPI voice as required by those components' normal operation.

Data removal

Removing the plugin through Stream Deck removes its installed files. Local diagnostic logs may also be deleted without affecting saved Stream Deck profiles. Clipboard history, Stream Deck profile settings, and text entered into other applications are controlled by Windows, Stream Deck, and those applications respectively.

Information sent for support

The plugin itself does not transmit selected text, microphone audio, transcripts, settings, or diagnostic logs to Admix. Information voluntarily sent through this website or email is handled under the Admix website privacy policy. Public GitHub issues are public and are also subject to GitHub's terms and privacy practices. Review and redact diagnostic material before sending it, and never include selected or dictated text, credentials, or unrelated private information.

Changes to this policy

This policy covers the local-processing architecture described above. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Before a released version changes how selected text, audio, transcripts, settings, diagnostics, or network access are processed, this policy will be updated to match that behavior.

Questions and privacy concerns

Privacy questions or requests may be sent to legal@admixsoftware.com. Technical support remains available through the support route below. Do not include private selected text, dictated text, credentials, or other sensitive content in a public issue.
